Job Title: Programmer Analyst (MicroFocus COBOL & Oracle)

Location: Blythewood, SC (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $60–$65/hr

Candidate must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident. No relocation allowed.

Overview:
We are hiring a Programmer Analyst to provide expert-level development and application support using MicroFocus Visual COBOL, Visual Studio, and Oracle/SQL. This hands-on role covers software development, maintenance, and production troubleshooting across both legacy and modernized systems.

Job Duties:

• Analyze, code, and test application changes across UI, logic, and backend layers.
• Maintain and enhance Phoenix II system and supporting applications.
• Resolve production issues quickly and document resolutions.
• Develop database procedures and optimize SQL queries.
• Collaborate across teams and contribute to ongoing system improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular status reports.

Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ years MicroFocus Visual COBOL on IIS/Windows Server.
• 4+ years using Visual Studio (VB.NET/C#).
• 4+ years of Oracle/SQL database programming.
• Strong application troubleshooting experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• IIS configuration expertise.
• C# .NET development.
• Complex SQL optimization (Oracle/MS SQL).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional certifications are a plus.
